Path to Freedom strives to inspire individuals to "think globally, act locally" by motivating them to live a simpler and more fulfilling life on the path to eco-stewardiship.
Our travels can never be over; it is an entire life’s journey and we have many more miles to go. However, we are proving that we can attain our goal if we advance in stages whatever the circumstances. Our hope is that by documenting our personal experiences we can offer encouragement to those who are on the same journey towards a simple, self-sufficient lifestyle.
The ultimate goal is to live as simply as possible in harmony with nature and ourselves. A back-to-basics lifestyle that will re-establish us to the land, healing the disconnection of our lives and leading to the restoration of the earth.
Part of Path to Freedom's mission is to educate individuals and families to integrate sustainable living practices and methods into their daily lives. Our focus is on: organic gardening, permaculture, solar cooking, composting and other back-to-basic, sustainable technologies and practices relating to the home environment.
Nothing less than a revolution is required in order for man to achieve the realization of his human potential. The future will be one of tremendous struggle because the world has been held captive. It is time to rise up to break out of this bondage. VICTORY can only be won by those armed with "plowshares." When the land is liberated, the people will be; when the people are liberated the nation will be. And, one nation--truly, fully liberated-will lead the world to real freedom!
It is time to move beyond the unsustainable, unfulfilling, mainstream culture. We need to research WHOLE solutions, doing more than reduce, reuse and recycle, going beyond the fragmented and narrow band-aid solutions which postpone consequences for a time but don’t change anything permanently, especially ourselves, the source of the problems.
As the world faces ever increasing danger based on its dysfunctional system, there is a critical need to look ahead with a new vision, a vision which sees that a step backwards is progress. With the severe shortage of hand-to-mouth workers only getting worse, we intend to use our hands, to employ them as weapons of mass creation.
The family’s mission will be to continue acquiring the total package of brains, skills and guts necessary to become the survivors.
The future is now, the choice is ours.
